.Vietgone at City Lights Theater

Finding a place to call home can be challenging, especially for two Vietnamese refugees in 1975 Arkansas. Vietgone tells the story of Quang and Tong as they make their way through the American Midwest looking for their new stomping grounds. The unpredictable and comedic play by Qui Nguyen has just about everything: hip hop classics, cheeseburgers, an all-Asian cast and a road trip. In 2016, Vietgone was recognized as a New York Times Critics’ pick, and won the Steinberg/ATCA New Play Award the same year.
