Día de San Juan Salsa Fest in San Jose

MACLA and San Jose Jazz have created an outdoor festival to celebrate Puerto Rican music, and dancing is encouraged. The event features fiery salsa bands like Latin Rhythm Boys, Orquesta Taino and La Mixta Criolla, with additional beats provided by DJ Leydis. Puerto Rican music, like the island itself, contains many creative influences. Anyone attending this celebration can expect to hear hip hop, Cuban, Afro-Caribbean, cumbia, merge, salsa, bomba, reggae and good old Bay Area beats—Latinx edition.
