Twinkling lights, ice skating and palm trees come together once again for a few magical weeks in the heart of Silicon Valley. Bay Area native and 1992 Olympic figure skating champion Kristi Yamaguchi will usher in the annual Downtown Ice skating rink—presiding over the opening celebration. The fun starts at 5pm this Friday and those eager strap on their blades will be able to get on the ice for just $5. The cost of admission goes up later this season. Bundle up and bring the family.
