Whimsical picture books, delightful chapter books, and scripts for horror films, Drew Daywalt adds to the genres that brought him to other worlds as a child. This Sunday, he and his works will be celebrated starting at 3 o’clock with a theatrical version of his picture book, The Day The Crayons Quit, followed by a reading session of attendees’ favorite DD books, and then at 4 pm, the author himself takes the stage, presumably to discuss his latest chapter book, No Sam! And the Meow of Deception. If some local theatre would just screen one of his horror flicks (for his older fans, of course), then all the bases would be covered.
