Chico-based post-hardcore band, Hail The Sun, debuted with their aptly-named 2010 album, POW! Right in the Kisser! The group doesn’t limit its sound to narrow genres. Hail the Sun’s music draws from progressive rock, technically-focused math rock and screamo. The group has lately been on a creative tear, releasing six singles and an album (cut. turn. fade. back) in 2025. Lead vocalist/drummer Donovan Melero guests on the new single from Lady Radiator, “Growing Different Limbs.” Three more bands; A Lot Like Birds (post-hardcore from Sacramento), Blight Town (math rock from Nottingham, England) and Murals (progressive post-hardcore from New York/California) – are also on the bill.
