Headhunters in Menlo Park

This weekend, the Guild Theatre will be serving up the classics in a deliciously funky way with the Headhunters. Started by legendary musician Herbie Hancock in 1973, the Headhunters was created with the express purpose of bringing more of a funk sound to Hanckock’s blend of jazz fusion. It was a success too, as the group’s first album, Head Hunters, sold over a million copies and brought us immortal tracks like “Chameleon” and Hancock’s updated “Watermelon Man.” Though Herbie is no longer with us, the original band has returned to grace the Guild Theatre stage for a night of funk fusion.
