Homaging young Beck and DEVO, and sounding like Prince and Michael Jackson had a baby, I Dont Know How but They Found Me (IDKHow), is conceptually engaging, plus the songs pop. IDKHow, considered an American indie pop solo project fronted by singer-songwriter Dallon Weekes, focuses on substance, fashion, style, and a minor tip of the cap to the 1970s and ’80s. Weekes spent years on the road with Panic! at the Disco, and synthesized everything he learned and put it into this one-person crackling persona. IDKHow got their name from a Doc Brown line in Back to the Future and strikes a balance between cool, talent, and ambition.
