Joshua Miele in Menlo Park

After being burnt and blinded by acid as a child in a horrific crime, Joshua Miele still managed to lead every ’80s kid’s idea of a well-lived life. He played in a rock ‘n’ roll band, worked for NASA, and became a guerrilla activist. The biopic they’ll surely make about him one day will have drugs, addiction and a love story, but most importantly, a happy and triumphant ending. Miele started a family, became an accessibility advocate, and received a MacArthur “Genius Grant.” This hypothetical movie would be based on his real and much-acclaimed autobiography, Connecting Dots, which he will be discussing with Angie Coiro when his book tour stops at Kepler’s.
