Gaga seems to save her most elaborate games of dress up exclusively for MTV’s annual Video Music Awards, and 2010’s was no different, with Mother Monster showing up in what is arguably her most infamous outfit choice yet: an elaborate red carpet dress made entirely of raw meat. The outfit has become such an iconic part of Gaga’s short history that it even has its very own Wikipedia page with Time Magazine naming it one of the top fashion statements of 2010. Today, the dress sits in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, after being preserved (literally) by taxidermists as a form of jerky.
