Music is magic. It conjures memories, expresses emotions and fosters an understanding of the world on a deeper level. It also transcends the boundaries of time, geography and language. Humans can listen to heart-wrenching movements and feel the rage and loss or hear songs of passion and reach the heights of elation. That’s exactly how it is to listen to the metal act Nervous Factor, even for those who can’t speak Cantonese. Since 2007, the band has represented their culture throughout the Bay Area and played with locals and Chinese touring bands like Luo Qi and Xie Tianxiao.
