The Nikkei Matsuri Festival, a celebration of Japanese culture, is back in Japantown on Sunday. The street will be lined with vendors, musicians and artists honoring Japanese American and East Asian history and life. Just as the Japanese Cherry Blossom Sakura tree is in full bloom, Japantown will be blooming with new ideas and festive performances, fresh fish, flowers, artisan jewelry, and calligraphy. This local party is meant to fascinate and educate people on what San Jose’s Japanese American community has going on. It will feature live musicians, dancers, judo wrestlers, and more fun for all ages on a bright, spring Sunday.
