‘Pride and Prejudice’ at Lucie Stern Theatre

’Tis the season of Jane Austen, and TheatreWorks Silicon Valley is spreading Victorian holiday cheer with the world premiere of Paul Gordon’s musical adaptation of the novel that follows Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth Bennett on their fraught road to romance. Gordon is a big fan of Austen’s work; this is the third of her novels that he’s adapted for the stage. Pride and Prejudice, which runs through Jan. 4, is directed by TheatreWorks’ founding artistic director Robert Kelley, who is stepping down at the end of the company’s current 50th season.
