Local comedian Rea Kapur has been working her way up through open mics, hosting, showcasing, featuring and now, for the first time, is headlining The Improv. Chosen as “Comic of the Week” on the Jackie and Laurie show (Jackie Kashian and Laurie Kilmartin) which is doubly amazing since Kapur is only four years into the yuk yuk game. Kapur is a unique joke writer who uses her material to destigmatize mental disorders and seeks to connect people through laughter. Kapur wants people to laugh but also to consider archaic models of thinking that need an upgrade. This is a chance to support a young comic’s dream of headlining The Improv with a sold out show.
