.Shen Yun in San Jose

The world’s premier classical Chinese dance company Shen Yun offers a technicolor and subversive history lesson like no other. Since 2006, these dancers have worked to revive the magic of ancient Chinese storytelling and traditional dance, much of which the Communist regime erased upon takeover in the mid-twentieth century. While Shen Yun is banned from performing in China, they have wowed crowds worldwide with their stunning costuming, high tech backdrops and expert live orchestra. These courageous performers embody a glorious response to the question, “What if we could go back?”
