The world lost a visionary when Stephen Sondheim passed in 2021. The father of the modern musical didn’t leave without before gifting the world a barrage of legendary work, which led to the 2010 revue Sondheim on Sondheim. This performance gives musical fans an intimate portrait of the composer and his work, with all of the classics that made him the Sondheim known ’round the world. Sondheim penned lyrics for favorites like West Side Story and Gypsy and composed the music and lyrics for Sweeney Todd, Into the Woods, and Company, so there’s a ton of fantastic music to enjoy in this immersive look at musical theater’s greatest composer.
