There are two cities that perfectly exemplify the idea that the United States is a melting pot of cultures. The first is New York and the second is Los Angeles (and maybe not in that order.) Case in point, L.A.’s Spaghetti Cumbia, a five-piece party band that combines cumbia, punk rock, ska and their love for spaghetti western soundtracks a la Ennio Morricone. And what better way to see them live, other than at one of my favorite bar in Los Angeles, La Cita, than at The Ritz with San Jose’s own Chicano ska punks The Hellas and La Maldita Cruda?
Thu, Mar 5, 8pm, $15-$20
