Lace up your shoes, pack your canteen and prepare for an intense workout. The Peninsula Open Space Trust—a foundation that partners with other conservation organizations to protect open space, parks and farms in Silicon Valley—is opening up a trail that has not been available to the public before. To celebrate, guests are invited to hike the Russian Ridge Open Space Preserve to the top of Mindego Hill. This five-mile trail gives nature lovers a chance to enjoy a peaceful afternoon and some heavenly views. This hike will also serve as a learning opportunity for those interested in protecting our region’s open spaces. (SM)
