.Third Coast Percussion in Saratoga

There’s nothing quite like the sound (and feeling) of a live drumbeat. That experience is available at its most primal and exhilarating with Third Coast Percussion, a Grammy-winning ensemble from Chicago. With 14 records under their belt, this quartet has continually charted new pathways with playful combinations of drums, bells, gongs, vibraphones and so much more. Also, who knew a cowbell could be tuned, or that galvanized steel pipes make a soothing melody? As Tom Huizenga of NPR’s Tiny Desk writes, “The precision and the subtlety of their soft tapping, bowing and conjuring of otherworldly sounds raises this ancient art to the highest level.”
