We Will Rock You is not a subtle piece of musical theater, which is part of why it still works. The setup is pure rock-opera nonsense goodness: a dystopian future, two young rebels named Galileo and Scaramouche, and a mission to bring music back to a world that has flattened everything interesting out of itself. But the real engine is Queen. With more than 20 songs in the show, including “Bohemian Rhapsody,” “Somebody to Love,” “We Are the Champions,” and “Don’t Stop Me Now,” this has all the ingredients for a loud, crowd-pleasing summer run that knows exactly what it is.
