Witches are cool any time, but especially during the spooky season. Burned at the stake, drowned, blamed for all manner of calamities, they have become time-honored symbols of resistance to sexism and abuse of religious power, which is to say they are an especially vital symbol in this current era. Combining witchiness with drag, another potent symbol of defiance, and is a recipe for a campy good time with some teeth to it. It’s a chance for people to party for their right to fight with Ru Paul’s Tina Burner and pals Alexis Michelle & Scarlet Envy as they send up Hocus Pocus, Disney and more.
