.Mrs. California at Tabard Theater

1955 may not be all that long ago, but the times really have a’changed. There may be no better current exploration of that belief than the new satiric comedic play Mrs. California, opening this Friday at San Jose’s Tabard Theatre and running through April 24. Protagonist Dot is questioning whether she wants to be declared the “ideal married woman” or if she’d rather break off from societal norms altogether. The play has received rave reviews thus far, called a “sure crowd-pleaser” and “wonderfully funny and witty,” this clever comedy is a hoot.
