Alt-pop alumnus Jorge Siddhartha González Ibarra—known mononymously as Siddhartha—has ascended from his early ‘00s tenure as the drummer of Mexico City’s softly psychedelic Zoé. Siddhartha is now touring his fourth album, 00:00, across North America. Released this past March, 00:00 floats on the same airy, synth-forward production as 2016’s Unicos, his Sony debut whose singles “Ser Parte” and “Tarde” went platinum on Mexico’s AMPROFON. With a more upbeat turn in his melodies, Siddhartha explores a dreamy hopefulness on tracks like “80 Días.”
