Richard Villa draws from a wide variety of life experiences for his comedy, harkening all the way back to his upbringing as a Mexican-American boy in Compton, California, when the only English words he knew were “Trick or Treat.” Still based in LA, Villa is now on a 10-show tour across the West Coast and the Midwest, stopping this Thursday in San Jose at the Improv. Villa has performed alongside some of the biggest names in comedy, including Russell Peters, Carlos Mencia, Luis de Alba and more, all while perfecting his work on stage at the LA Comedy Store and Hollywood Improv.
