LabRats, a Grammy-recognized jazz outfit, will mesmerize audiences at the Break Room this Friday. To say that the Sacramento quartet is excellent would be an understatement. Jazz is difficult to pull off, but the LabRats make it seem effortless with their onstage demeanor and fluidity with instruments. It’s as if the four multi-instrumentalists are on an afternoon stroll through the park rather than engaged in musical gymnastics. They deliver at the highest level while composing forms that are easy to enjoy. Jazz lovers won’t regret checking out the LabRats. Even jazz haters will enjoy themselves—LabRats are that good.
