.TT Takemoto at Stanford

This exhibition by artist TT Takemoto on queer experiences revolving around WWII is composed of video and sculpture. According to Cantor Arts Center, the exhibit, titled Remembering in the Absence of Memory, highlights “the tactile and sensory dimensions of queer Asian American histories and their ancestral legacies—real and imagined.” It’s a rare presentation of multidisciplinary meditations on the same theme that spans multiple decades. A rare voice resonates through the work and brings to light experiences obscured by time and cultural obstacles. It is a must-visit for those serious about the impact of artistic effort in real time.
