In partnership with the ongoing P L A C E exhibit at ICA San Jose, two Lucas Artists Fellows screen their short films and converse with Asian Art Museum curator Abby Chen. TT Takemoto, winner of several juried festivals for Best Experimental Film, is a queer Japanese American artist exploring same-sex intimacy in Asian American history. Genevieve Quick, an interdisciplinary arts writer, uses humor and sci-fi to address Otherness. Takemoto presents After Bed (2023), Ever Wanting (for Margaret Chung) (2021), and Lion in the Wind (2023); Quick presents Rockette Odyssey (2020), Megaphone (2019), and Hello World (2022).
