Born Alexander Giannascoli, indie rock musician and singer-songwriter Alex G got his start as a self-contained DIY artist, releasing his music via online outlets like Bandcamp. By 2015, Alex G had attracted the attention of record labels. He signed with Domino and released his sixth album, Beach Music. While he always self-produces his records, in recent years Alex G has opened up his recording process, drawing upon the talents of select studio musicians to aid in his creative pursuits.
