From Bob Marley to Toots and the Maytals, Reggae has been, and continues to be, an influential and moving genre of music. Reggae evolved out of ska in late-1960s Jamaica. Early Reggae songs were about the pressures of living on the street and defiance against oppressors. Even so, it is an optimistic genre. It celebrates the human spirit. Duane Forrest will be honoring this legacy with his acoustic renditions of select Reggae songs. This performance has won various awards from various Fringe Festivals and earned five stars from Broadway Baby. It is a must-see show for any fan of Reggae. Goes through Nov 15.
