Launched in 2010 and now held in more than 30 cities across the country, Sneaker Con (described as “the biggest sneaker store in the world all under one roof”) is a two-day event at which attendees can buy, sell and even trade (nominally) athletic footwear. Organizers promise more than 300 vendors and more than 100,000 items on display. The event will include games, prizes, content creators, celebrity sneaker-wearers, rare sneaker displays and even sneaker authentication (courtesy of eBay Authentication Service). Organizers expect 15,000 people to show up for the “ultimate sneaker experience” in Santa Clara.
