Ken Peplowski at Stanford

A world-class jazz tenor saxophonist and clarinetist, Cleveland-born Ken Peplowski melds swing traditions with a modern sensibility. Often compared to jazz legend Benny Goodman, Peplowski approaches his music with a focus on melody and cross-genre exploration. Beginning his life in music at age ten, by the age of 20, he was playing with the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra, soon moving on to Goodman’s band. Today, Peplowski claims more than 70 solo recordings and more than 400 credits as a sideman. He is one of the most-recorded and creative clarinetists on the scene today.
