Once upon a time, the summer harvest in our Valley of Heart’s Delight came in the form of fruits and vegetables, grown on local farms. Now we reap a suburban bounty: weekend-long extravaganzas in the cities that have grown up over that fertile farmland.
This week the action is at the Los Altos Arts & Wine Festival, where the area around State and Main streets will blossom with displays by artists and craftspeople, food and drink from local food vendors and winemakers, a Kidzone for the youngest guests, and more than a dozen bands. Performing on the main stage are the Wanderers, Cocktail Monkeys, Megatones, Fully Funded, Michelle Lambert, and The Houserockers. The festival runs 10am–7pm on July 12–13 in downtown Los Altos.
