Watercolor artist Suej McCall trained at Mills College and the College of Arts and Crafts in Oakland. She’s also been an art teacher for three decades. Her most recent work was inspired by visits to New Mexico and overseas to Europe. But in the face of progressive sight loss, McCall faces the prospect of blindness. The title of her latest exhibit at Gallery 9 (where she’s a member) reflects that reality: “My Last Picture Show… maybe.” The exhibit of McCall’s work runs Dec. 30 through Feb. 1, and the artist will be in attendance for an opening reception on Jan. 3.
