Inspired by L.A.-based playwright and composer Min Kahng’s personal experiences, Aftermath Liturgy is a staged reading of a new play, which features live music and audience participation, and explores sexual identity and evangelical Christianity. Commissioned by Contemporary Asian Theater Scene (CATS), which champions representation for AAPI artists in Silicon Valley, the play follows Kahng’s previous works, including Happy Pleasant Valley: A Senior Sex Scandal Murder Mystery Musical and The Four Immigrants: An American Musical Manga. A discussion and reception take place after the performance.
