It’s the 30th year of Monday Night Live, a Silicon Valley insider’s version of SNL. With a rotating cast, MNL is making this anniversary show one for the books. With San Jose Mayor Matt Mahan, council members, business leaders and political heavyweights, this is a self-deprecating evening of barbed humor. Elaborate sketches use fun, fantasy and fiction to skewer all sense of entitlement and self-righteousness. Like Wavy Gravy says, “Angels can fly because they take themselves lightly.” It’s an opportunity for people to laugh at others, themselves, and find their wings.
