Melodic progressive rockers Advent Horizon got their start in 2008 in Salt Lake City when members were still in high school. Winning a succession of Battle of the Bands contests led to the group recording a debut EP, AH, in 2011. A full-length followed later that year, and successive albums were well received. Advent Horizon’s breakthrough was 2023’s A Cell to Call Home, featuring members of Dream Theater and Spock’s Beard as guests. With a sound recalling Rush and King Crimson, the band was a hit at Progstock 2024 and Cruise to the Edge 2026. Their latest, Falling Together, was released May 15.
