Aiming to highlight Black voices in Silicon Valley and beyond, 1Culture’s newest show is focused entirely on Black artists. As an exhibition, “the Black Arts Movement” highlights the interior experience of Black life today, with an open approach to medium spanning various art forms and mediums to bring the artists’ individual stories to life. Featuring 25 artists from across the Bay Area, Los Angeles, New York and Canada (including 8 from San Jose), “the Black Arts Movements” also includes murals to be unveiled over the weekend around the gallery on E. Santa Clara Street.
