Before My Fair Lady, Gigi and Camelot, Lerner and Loewe’s first musical success was 1947’s Brigadoon, which was later adapted into a feature film, a TV movie and even inspired 2021’s Apple TV+ parody, Schmigadoon! The story follows two New Yorkers, Tommy and Jeff, who get lost in a mysterious village in the Scottish Highlands called Brigadoon. Tommy falls in love with one of the villagers, Fiona, but after learning that the village only exists for one day every 100 years, he can’t decide whether to stay or leave. This production by South Bay Musical Theatre is directed by Doug Brook, and stars Steve Allhoff, Zack Goller and Brenna Silva. Performances go until June 7.
