James Bond Forever at Stanford

Who doesn’t love Bond? The suave moves, the gadgets, the adventure. Seventy-three years after Sir Ian Fleming first wrote Casino Royale, 007 continues to enthrall audiences in books, movies, and video games. He’s also the bane of bartenders as inexperienced drinkers expect their martinis “shaken, not stirred.” Martinis are supposed to be stirred, and people should specify if they want gin—the way it’s supposed to be—or vodka. What’s even more iconic than the man himself is the music associated with James Bond on the silver screen. So, the San Francisco Symphony decided to dedicate a night to the iconic tracks spanning 60 years of Bond in the movies from Dr. No to Spectre.
