.Junkyard in San Jose

The LA rock band Junkyard manages to be glam and punk all at once, no small feat given that one of those genres embraces glitz while the other rejects it. Founding members David Roach and Patrick Muzingo cut their teeth on the punk and hardcore scene of the ’70s and melded that rawness with a southern rock vibe for Junkyard’s self-titled 1989 debut album. Their 2017 comeback, High Water, has thrilled fans from those early decades, as has their stellar new 21st-century lineup. They are joined on tour by fellow glam rockers Jetboy. (AM)
