Cleveland-born Scott Ramon Seguro Mescudi is Kid Cudi, rapper-singer, two-time Grammy Award winner and widely admired public figure. Well ahead of the cultural curve, Kid Cudi came to fame in 2008 with “Day ‘n’ Nite,” a song that grew in popularity from a Myspace post. That viral success brought him to the attention of the music industry proper. Signed to a major label, he began creating and releasing albums. His debut, 2009’s Man on the Moon: The End of Day stormed the charts, going 4X Platinum in the U.S. While subsequent releases didn’t match that feat, Kid Cudi’s music continues to land with critics and audiences alike.
