Pigeon Pit in San Jose

Pigeon Pit makes folk-punk that feels less like a genre exercise than a notebook being read aloud while the room threatens to come apart. Olympia songwriter Lomes Oleander calls the project “maximalist journaling,” an apt description for songs packed with queer life, grief, political anger and stubborn hope. After releasing both Crazy Arms and Leash Aggression in 2025, the band arrives with a fuller, sharper sound without sanding away its DIY edges. Jade Cathay is exactly the sort of unconventional, close-quarters room this music deserves. Propolis, The Band Cope and Cartoon Hearts complete a bill built for dancing, shouting and communal release.
