Jazzy, country-fried and ballad-ready, Ren Geisick can do it all. Geisick eschewed strict jazz vocals for a broader horizon of singer-songwriter sonics; her sound is rooted in Americana with a decidedly personal touch, referencing multiple genres without confining herself to one soundscape. Her annual holiday bash exemplifies this at City Lights Theater Company, where she takes the audience through fresh arrangements of Christmas and holiday classics, as well as original songs. Geisick and her band have performed at City Lights during the holiday season for 10 years, showing no sign of slowing.
