Jazz pianist and composer Taylor Eigsti has been a faculty member of Stanford’s Jazz Workshop for more than 25 years. What’s more amazing is that he began that role at age 15. A two-time Grammy winner, Eigsti has released nine albums as band leader, with such esteemed sidemen as Christian McBride, Julian Lage and Terence Blanchard on the sessions. His latest album is 2023’s Plot Armor. Eigsti is also a veteran of numerous sessions as a sideman, backing up those and other artists of note. His recent adventures have included a European tour with Gretchen Parlato, Ben Wendel and ZackGrooves.
