Legendary bluesman Muddy Waters once said, “I’ve been in the blues all my life. I’m still delivering because I’ve got a long memory.” It’s safe to say Terry Hiatt understands the sentiment. After all, he’s been playing the guitar for over five decades, spanning everything from rock to country and, of course, the blues. His proficiency is recognized throughout the music community, and Hiatt has recorded or played with greats like Jerry Miller, Terry Haggerty and the late Sista Monica Parker. As Hiatt describes it, he plays gumbo music: a blend of everything seasoned to perfection and set on a simmer to let the flavors blend.
