Try The Pie, Absinthe Father at Chromatic Coffee

Image-laden, tender storytelling with an ever-punk heart has made Try The Pie’s songwriter Bean Kaloni Tupou a local music icon for the last decade. Though the project has taken form in various lineups, Tupou gathered a four-piece of South Bay all-stars to record and release A Widening Burst of Forever last summer, Try The Pie’s first full-length album since 2015, on Philadelphia-based indie label Get Better Records. Try The Pie plays an after-hours Chromatic Coffee set this Wednesday with two Seattle bands, Absinthe Father and Sun Spots, as well as Woolworm from Vancouver.
