Over the course of Detroit-based Electric Six’s 30-year career, the band fronted by singer and primary songwriter Dick Valentine has released nearly two dozen albums. The music on those touches on everything from alt-rock to metal to disco, synth pop, new wave, punk and garage. An early single, 2003’s “Danger! High Voltage,” gained the group exposure at home and in the UK, where it reached No. 2 on the charts. Much about the band is irreverent; members adopt stage names like The Colonel, Two-Handed Bob and Herb S Flavorings. Tragedy (A Metal Tribute to the Bee Gees) opens.
