Hailing from Boulder, Co., Leftover Salmon formed in 1989 when members of the Salmon Heads joined forces with members of the Left Hand String Band (no, seriously) for a New Years’ Eve party. The pairing was so serendipitous they decided to keep going with the band, playing a mix of bluegrass, rock, country, and folk in a style that has since become affectionately known as Jamgrass. Anyone bmmed about Bob Weir’s death should try some Leftover Salmon. And if they’re hungry for the washboard, banjo and fiddle, then Leftover Salmon will satiate those needs.
