New Zealand-born Aaradhna has Samoan and Indian roots, but her music is steeped in soul. Her 2006 debut album featured all original material and spawned two hit singles in New Zealand. 2008’s Sweet Soul Music focused exclusively on readings of soul classics, including the Jackson 5’s “I Want You Back.” Aaradhna’s third and fourth albums went Platinum in New Zealand; Brown Girl’s “Forever Love” went Triple Platinum, and the album won her a New Zealand Music Award. Her most recent release is 2024’s digital-only Sweet Surrender. This date is one of only two North American performances on her current schedule.
