Newly reopened restaurant and club the Loft is kicking off the new concert series Stop Drop and Roll Show with San Jose wordsmith Devien. The record label owner/indie artist’s music is deeply personal, dealing with themes like loss, hope and family ties—Devien calls it “life music.” As a rapper, Devien flows with a casual confidence, a rising name in the teeming San Jose hip hop scene. The event series includes engaging interactive interviews, meet and greets on the Loft’s rooftop patio, and plenty of intimate performances and surprises for attendees. Each show directly supports local talent, artists, and small businesses through donations.
