Fresno’s Let’s Go Bowling has been together since 1986. The third-wave ska band features eight musicians, six of whom have been with the group since the ’90s (or even longer). The band debuted with a self-titled 1988 cassette-only release. Let’s go Bowling wouldn’t release a CD until 1991’s Music To Bowl By. 2000’s Stay Tuned is their most recent release. In the years since, the band has focused on live performance. Let’s Go Bowling took a five-year hiatus but returned to active duty last year. Live onstage, the group effectively balances high-energy ska and bluebeat with a skillful, smooth jazz vibe.
